The word “Arcs” is an abbreviation of the name of the Arkansaw Indians, a prominent tribe in the region. Thus, the phrase “Aux Arcs” (oh-arcs) would refer to the “area of the Arkansaw”. The Ozarks have something to appeal to and entertain all ages, from the young, to the young-at-heart. Maps for each area are included to direct you to your main interests.
